Hi Kameron,
I'm a few days behind on my blog reading, but I just read your update post about "God's War." Getting a 3-book contract cancelled for no other reason than budget reductions, must have cut deep. I can only imagine the highs and lows you've experienced this year.
I'm glad to see you are writing again. I totally agree with you, we are the ones in charge of our writing life.
Hang in there.
Thanks! It's rough all over out there.
Thank you for sharing this crushing event with us. You are such a gifted writer, and you have a following. Why not publish it yourself and sell it alongside the other books out there on line?
I'll buy them. You will prevail.
Anon – I'm down, but not out. I'm a strong enough (and marketable) enough writer to sign with a major house. Things are just tough out there right now. We're still shopping the book, and I do believe we'll find someone who'll pick it up.
In the meantime, tho, I'd like to do some non-traditional work with other projects in parallel. So stay tuned for at least one free online trunk novel and some related projects, particularly in audio and video form. I'm having fun with different ways to tell stories.
