Why is it…
… that so many “lit” stories are about 1) whiny emo college students 2) whiny sub-par college professors?
I wonder, indeed.

Maybe there needs to be a small addendum to the "Write what you know" maxim? Maybe something like "…but not what everybody else already knows perfectly well about you comma dumbass."
oddly enough lit stories were just about the only thing that got a first when I was doing my creative writing degree… wonder why
Because not enough "lit" writers learned how to take or throw a punch?
